Urban Boyz Grind Out a Hard-Fought 2–1 Win Over Chap Chap FC at Nakeel Grounds
Urban Boyz FC continued their positive run of form with yet another victory in today’s Sunday 30th friendly match against Chap Chap FC, played at Nakeel Grounds from 10:00 AM. It was a game of two very different halves, one slow and disjointed, the other full of intensity, aggression, and goals.
A Slow Start in the First Half
The first half saw Urban Boyz struggle to find their rhythm. The team showed little coordination, with few meaningful chances created and no shots on target. The movement was limited, passes failed to connect, and Chap Chap FC looked comfortable as the game entered the break at 0–0.
A Different Team After Halftime
Following strong words of encouragement and a few tactical changes by the technical team during halftime, Urban Boyz returned to the pitch as a completely transformed side, sharper, more aggressive, and determined to take control of the game.
The breakthrough came through Mberia, who rose highest to connect with a powerful corner kick, directing a thunderous header into the net to give Urban Boyz the lead. It was a goal that lifted both the players and the fans.

The second goal followed soon after, this time from Freddy, who made a perfectly timed run, received a through pass, calmly went past the goalkeeper, and slotted the ball into an open net to make it 2–0.
Late Response from Chap Chap FC
Chap Chap FC pushed hard in the closing stages and managed to pull one goal back, putting pressure on Urban Boyz in the final minutes. However, the defence held firm, and the match ended 2–1 in favour of Urban Boyz.
Reactions from the Camp
Team Manager Bosire expressed satisfaction with the result, saying:
“The results are good. We have won, and that is good progress.”
The team captain also shared a balanced view of the performance:
“We have won, yes, but we still have a lot of work to do.”
Looking Ahead
The win adds to the growing confidence within the squad as preparations for the new league continue. While the second-half performance showed great promise, the team will be working hard to ensure they start future matches with the same intensity they finished with today.
Urban Boyz FC remain focused, determined, and hungry for more progress.
